Organized for the 10th time this year, MINEX-Mining, Natural Resources and Technologies Expo brought the sector together at fuarizmir. Simultaneously with the expo, the 9th International Mining Machinery and Technologies Congress organized by TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers Izmir Branch hosted valuable speakers including Prof. Dr. Celal Şengör. A total of 16.134 people, including 1,742 foreign visitors from 40 countries and 14,392 local visitors from 55 cities, visited the expo.
The 10th edition of MINEX - Mining, Natural Resources and Technologies Expo, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ in cooperation with TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers, was held at fuarizmir between 13-16 September 2023. Simultaneously with the expo, the 9th International Mining Machinery and Technologies Congress organized by TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers Izmir Branch was also held. The congress brought together distinguished engineers and scientists who are experts in their fields with leading manufacturers and their representatives. At the MINEX Fair; while exhibiting important products such as state-of-the-art giant machines used in mineral exploration and extraction processes, construction machinery, technological innovations, systems that give advance notice of fires, participating companies expressed their satisfaction with the expo.
Kayıhan Oğuz - Labris
For 30 years, we are a company serving in the sector. We work intensively in many areas in the mining sector, as well as in sectors such as cement, iron and steel plants and power plants. We have been participating in MINEX since its inception. The expo has developed day by day and I have seen that it has developed in a way that satisfies both us and the visitors. It brings customers and suppliers together, and I think it is very important for the follow-up of new technologies and information. We made new business contacts, we had the opportunity to meet with our customers. It also creates opportunities for new collaborations. We are very pleased with the expo and we will be here in the coming years.
Özgür Karaaslan - Sandvik
Founded 160 years ago, we are a global company serving the construction, steel and mining industries. We have been operating in Türkiye for many years. There is great interest in our stand at the fair. We are very pleased with the interest and participation. It proves that we have established a bond with our customers. Expos both contribute to finding new customers and strengthen our ties with existing customers. For us, it is a platform where we can see our customers in Türkiye at the same time and say hello. We also had foreign visitors from different countries. It is traditional for us to be here. We will continue to participate. In addition, Izmir is a special city with its proximity to mines and being a port city. In this context, miners and customers who are mostly in this sector come to the İzmir Expo, which is also convenient for us. We attach great importance to the MINEX Expo.
Fatih Bozkurt - Fabo Global
We manufacture crushing and screening plants and concrete batching plants in our four factories in Torbalı, Izmir. We export to 100 countries. As a company from İzmir, we are very pleased to be at the mining expo organized in İzmir. We participated in the expo last year, this year was even more beneficial than last year and I am sure that the next expo will be even more beneficial. MINEX was very productive for us, we made agreements, made sales and met new people. İzmir is the center of the mining sector and Marble İzmir stands out with its fairs such as MINEX. We attach great importance to being here. We will participate in the next expo in an even bigger area. 10 of our machines were sold on the occasion of this expo, and we also put the final point to our previous works here. There is also great interest from abroad.
Duan JunJun – Honest Machine
I come from Beijing, China. Our company produces mineral separation machines. We are glad that we came to İzmir and participated in the expo and we are pleased with the interest shown. We had the opportunity to meet with customers both from Türkiye and from different countries. Our product is a product that is produced with a little more special orders, so we had many meetings and we are still in talks. We met many new companies and we are sure that we will cooperate. The people of İzmir were very tolerant and very good and friendly to us, thank you very much. We are planning to participate in the next expo as well, as it is a expo only for related companies.
Ali Arda Aksoy – ENG Mineral
Our company started with 9 people in 2019 and has become a manufacturing company with 45 personnel today. We serve the sector with 60 percent export figures by making domestic production. Although we are new, we have grown in a short time. We produce separation machines according to mineral groups in the mining sector. We were a small company when we participated in this fair two years ago. This is our second expo. ENG Mineral has grown with the effect of MINEX. Especially the Aegean and Marmara regions got to know us better with the effect of the fair and this was a big plus for us. We grew because we had the chance to introduce ourselves with the orders we received with MINEX. This year was also very good. We hosted many local and foreign visitors and had a very good time.
Dilek Onur - General Makina
For nearly 50 years, we are one of the leading and pioneering companies in the sector producing crushing and screening machines and concrete batching plants. We are a company that exports 80 percent. We sold many of our machines at this expo. I think our expo went very well this year. We are very pleased with the interest and the business contacts we made.
Elif Savcı - Asos
We are a company that builds industrial facilities at home and abroad, and mining is among the sectors we serve. This is our third participation in the expo. Since we also serve the mining sector, our customers are in the nearby region. We had the opportunity to meet with both our own customers and potential customers. We are pleased with the interest. We established new business contacts, especially foreign visitors showed great interest. It is also an advantage that such a exhibition is organized in İzmir. It is in a good location, close to the airport, a location that our customers can easily reach. Many miners are already here. We will be at the expo in the coming years as well.
